The spherical probe has two metallic halves (1, 2) insulated from each other by an insulating ring (3). Fastened to the ring is insulating ##an first tube (4) which is diametrically directed outwards. Concentrically inside the first tube is a second tube second tube (7) of insulating material which issues inside the sphere. The sphere and first tube are rotated by a turbine wheel (5) fed with pressurized gas. The second tube has one end fitted to an outer support (6), and its other end, inside the sphere, is bent so that it runs parallel to the sphere rotary axis but assymetrically in relation to the axis. An adjustment transformer (8) inside the sphere has one winding connected to the metallic hemispheres, whilst its other winding is connected to a light diode also inside the stationary second tube to a measurement unit (13) at earth potential.
