Combination of a filling and sealing machine to form a block which operates fully automatically. Bottles are fed to and conveyed on a conveyor (2). While the bottles are conveyed, a filling pipe holder (11) places the filling valves (8) on or in the bottles via a vertical lifting device (7). The filling pipe holder (11) is elevated and returned after a certain distance. The filled bottles are diverted, sealed and returned via the conveyor (2b). <IMAGE>
