PURPOSE:To enhance the convenience of use by a method wherein, a previous paper feed is carried out in a normal printing, the previous paper feed is automatically canceled with the change of a printing condition, and after the change of the condition the mode is again returned to the previous paper feed. CONSTITUTION:Data from a data processor 1 is stored once in an external file buffer 2, thereafter being inputted to a printer system 10. By a bit map- system data processor 3, a print engine 4 using an electrophotographic process, an external paper feed unit 5, and a sorter 6 are controlled. In a normal printing, a previous paper feed is performed in which a paper feed for printing a next page is previously carried out during a present page printing. If a printing condition is changed, the previous paper feed is automatically canceled. After the condition is changed, the mode is again automatically returned to the previous paper feed. In this manner, the convenience of use is improved, and the throughput can also be enhanced. |
