PURPOSE:To obtain the subject coated paper having stable cast operation, excellent aqueous-stampability and printability and useful as a label paper, by adding sulfonate of a specific ester derivative into a coated layer. CONSTITUTION:0.01-0.5g/m<2> sulfonic acid salt of succinic acid dialkyl ester derivative expressed by the formula (R1 and R5 are 1-8C aliphatic hydrocarbon; R2, R3 and R4 are H, 1-6C aliphatic hydrocarbon; X is alkali metal ion, ammo nium ion or lower amine salt) is contained in a coated layer and while the coated layer is in the wet state, the coated layer is brought into contact with a heated drum surface having mirror gloss under pressure and subjected to gloss polishing to provide the aimed coated paper. |
