A document folder consists of a flat panel, (1) e.g. of cardboard, which is cut out and scored to make a folder with two sides (7), end flaps (3, 4, 8, 9) and a top flap (16). In between the top flap and the adjacent side of the folder there is a lengthwise slit (19) along the fold to receive a detachable handle (24) which is inserted from the inside of the folder, where it is retained in place by two projections (22, 23). After the documents have been placed in the folder and the flaps folded over, it can be held closed by elastic bands (21) which are joined to the handle and pass over the corners of the folder, engaging with notches (31) along the edges of the top flap. ADVANTAGE - Design simplicity, presented in ready-to-use state.
