A plunger 6 actuated by a cable stretched within hand range along a danger zone actuates in turn a finger 19 whose movement is transmitted to the switch 3. A slide 25 compresses a spring 28 so that, firstly, a pawl 42 prevents the return of the finger 19, then, secondly, the force of the spring exceeds the force required to retract the studs 36 of a striker 33 which is then suddenly freed so as to actuate the switch. In order to reset the device to the standby condition, a drum 48 carrying a cam 47, 52 capable of releasing the pawl 42 from the groove 30 of the slide 25 is rotated with the aid of a key 58. Use so that the device evidences any actuation which it has undergone, in order to eliminate the possibility of feigning a breakdown without leaving any trace. <IMAGE>
