The connection device for electrical securement of wire ends has a tubular housing, the contact unit has a further open end directed towards the closed end of the housing. The spring strips are respectively curved so that at one end a central plane section has a S-shaped spring section whilst at the other end there is a canicl section which is inclined to the side of the S-shaped spring section. The wire ends are held from the free ends of the spring section, and the cane section is spring held in the contact position. The free ends of the spring section and the cone section can be alternately at opposite sides in their projection w.r.t. the central plane section.
