The appts. has a compressor and a condensor for receiving the refrigerant fed from the output side of the compressor. Evaporators receive the refrigerant from the condensor and valves control the flow of refrigerant to the evaporators. A bypass is arranged to pass the refrigerant from the output side of the compressor and control circuit adjusts the operating frequency of the compressor in response to the temperature of the bypass which corresponds to the temperature of the following refrigerant. The evaporators include cooling devices connected in parallel. The controlling valve is connected in series with the individual cooling device.
