The invention relates to integrated circuits. The purpose of the invention is to protect the circuits against the electrostatic discharges due for example to manipulations of the circuits in dry atmosphere. So that the circuit remains protected even when it is not connected to its supply (via the supply terminals A, M), there are provided not only the conventional protection diodes D1 and D2 between a terminal B to be protected and the terminals A and M, but also a threshold circuit CS, T1 which establishes a current path between the terminals A and M as soon as the voltage between these terminals becomes greater than a specified threshold. The risk of circuit breakdown is thus avoided even when the supply terminals A and M remain floating. <IMAGE>
