In an hydraulic braking system for a four wheel vehicle having brakes on front wheels (1, 2) and rear wheels (3, 4), each front wheel brake is adapted to be applied by at least one acutator (5, 6) and each rear wheel brake is adapted to be applied by at least two actuators (7, 8; 9, 10). The system comprises first and second brake-applying circuits, the first circuit comprising a first source (12) of brake-applying fluid and a first connection between the first source (12) and the actuator (5) for one front wheel brake and one actuator (7, 9) for each rear wheel brake, and the second circuit comprises a second source (13) of brake-applying fluid and a second connection between the second source and the actuator (6) for the other front wheel brake and the other actuator (8, 9) for each rear wheel brake. |
