<p>An electrical connector for shielded cable of which the type has a plurality of conductors and shielders, comprises a latch housing, an insulation casing and a receptacle. The shielders are substantially rectangular-shaped ones from an electrically conductible material. The insulation casing has an inside rectangular groove portion for receiving a shielding member which encloses the latch housing and is electrically connected to the cable. The lug type terminal is easily inserted into the cavity of the receptacle so that the latch contacts to the cam operating surface and pivots with respect to the casing, and then is electrically connected to the shielding member.</p> |
