Fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines

In injection nozzles of the generic type of the main claim, it is proposed to reduce the noise generated at higher engine speeds without thereby adversely affecting the engine performance values at lower engine speeds. This object is achieved by the arrangement of a further opening-pressure stage (p3/p4) in a lifting position of the valve needle assigned to the middle load range. Engines with self-ignition and direct fuel injection are the preferred sphere of application of the so-called seat-hole nozzles (Fig.1). <IMAGE>
