The present invention relates to a prefabricated civil engineering building of the type intended to protect electrical voltage transformer stations. The civil engineering building is of the type comprising a substructure 1 on which rests a slab 2 constituting the floor of the building, on which are positioned three vertical walls supporting a roof 5, which walls constitute the rear wall 3 and side walls 4 of the building, which is additionally equipped with a front face 6 provided with at least one opening associated with at least one door 7. The building is characterised essentially in that the roof 5 juts out around the perimeter with respect to the vertical walls, in that the roof rests on the vertical walls by way of uniformly spaced blocks which hold it at a distance from the upper edge of these walls in order to form upper air vents, and in that at least one of the vertical walls of the building and/or at least one of the doors in the lower part is provided with a ventilation grille in order to provide the ventilation of the building. <IMAGE>
