PURPOSE:To obtain a water storage type rain gauge having no valve body, constituted so that the drainage of rainwater in a water storage tank is performed by the rotation of the water storage tank and storage of water is performed in a separate water storage tank simultaneously with the drainage of rainwater. CONSTITUTION:A water storage body 4 is supported around a rotary shaft 5 between two supports 8 provided on a base 9 vertically in a freely rotatable manner while a gear 61 is fixed to the rotary shaft 5 and rotated around the rotary shaft 5 integrally along with the water storage body 4. A rotary mechanism part is constituted so that the rotation of a motor 10 is transmitted to the water storage body 4 through gears 62, 63, 64 to rotate the water storage body 4. In this case, the water storage body 4 and the rotary mechanism part placed on the base 9 and all other elements are entirely weighed by th wt. sensor 11 on a stand 13. When there is rain, rainwater poured in a water receiving cylinder 1 is accumulated in either one of water storage tanks A-D and measured by the sensor 11. When continuous measurement is performed, the water storage body 4 is driven when a measured value reaches a prescribed value at a certain point of time and, by measuring the number of supply times of a driving order signal, a cumalative total rainfall can be measured. |
