The subject matter of this invention comprises improvements in the construction of hot air circuits in grain and seed toasting machines; a valve is placed within the circuit which shuts off a branch placed in the hot air circuit which places the hot air circuit in connection with the exterior when the valve is open and depending upon the amount to which the said valve is opened air is passed into the heater from the exterior to the interior of the sealed circuit temporarily in the course of the toasting work of the machine into the circuit thereof at will in an appropriate proportion, and likewise a tubular extension is connected to the sealed circuit providing communication between the interior of the said circuit and the exterior, there being another valve at the outlet from this extension. <IMAGE>
