A front-mounted mower has a mowing bar which is arranged transversely relative to the direction of travel and which extends between two mowing shoes (10). The mowing shoes (10) are connected pivotably to the spars (2) of the frame of the front-mounted mower. The mowing shoes (10) are designed as U-shaped bows, the arcs (11) of which point in the direction of travel. When the mower comes up against an obstacle, hooks (16) fastened to the mowing shoes (10) come loose from a clamping device (18, 19), so that the mowing shoes (10) roll with their arcs (11) over the ground and raise the mowing bar and the spars (2). <IMAGE> |
