THERMAL FIXING METHOD AND ENCAPSULATED TONER FOR THERMAL FIXING USED IN SAID METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain an image having satisfactory fixability and not causing offsetting by using a toner contg. a specified binding resin having a specified compsn. CONSTITUTION:An encapsulated toner 29 contg. a polymer of one or more kinds of monomers selected among arom. vinyl monomers, acrylic ester monomers and methacrylic ester monomers as a binding resin is used. The encapsulated toner 29 containing 10-60wt.% THF-insoluble matter as a binding resin is used. A fixedly supported heating body 20 and a pressing roller 27 placed opposite to the heating body 20 in a press contact state adhere a transfer material 28 to the heating body 20 with a fixing film 24 in-between and a developed image of the toner 29 is subjected to thermal fixing on the transfer material 28. The temp. of a heating roller is made optimum with low consumption of electric power, offsetting phenomenon is not caused and the fixing of the toner image on the transfer material 28 is improved.
