Stacker for up=ended sheets of paper - consists of conveyor to folding machine with braking rollers and deflector roller

The stacker for up-ended folded sheets (1) conveys the sheets from the folding machine. Next to the conveyor track for the folded sheets, spaced apart from the bearing-axle of the deflector rollers (2,3) belonging to the conveyor track by an amount less than the length of the smallest sheet size, are two braking rollers (4,5). The braking rollers (4,5) are driven more slowly than the deflector rollers (2,3). One of the two braking rollers (4,5) and the deflector roller (3) over it are positioned on a spring-loaded pivot-lever (6) whose centre of gravity (7) is over the deflector roller (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - The sheets of paper delivered at high speed from folding machines can be temp. and easily braked before reaching the stacking table of an upright sheet feeder.
