The improvements are characterized in that each vertical- plane suspension rod has, at the end, an oblique portion which continues with a short vertical portion parallel to the body of the rod. On the lower edge of this terminal piece there is a notch which is open in the lower border, which engages in the lower border of the opening stamped in the end wall of the drawer. The distance between centres of the holes stamped in the end wall on one side, in which the rods are anchored, is the arithmetic means between the widths of the two types of file to be used in the drawers.
