PURPOSE: To simply prepare an edible anion exchange resin delivery system enabling to easily and effectively take the resin effective for lowering a cholesterol value by mixing the edible anion exchange resin granules with a gelatin frappe. CONSTITUTION: This method for preparing an edible anion exchange resin delivery system comprises cholestyramine, colestipol and edible anion exchange resin granules such as an anion exchange resin having imidazolium groups as functional groups with lecithin to prepare the pre-blended resin, mixing gelatin with water and glycerol, adding a sweetener and a filler to the prepared mixture, stirring the mixture to prepare a frappe having a puffy tooth touch, adding the frappe to the pre-blended resin as rapidly as possible, adding pectin and a desired flavor to the mixture, mixing the mixture at a relatively slow mixing rate, taking out the mixture from a mixing chamber before the gelatin frappe is solidified, and subsequently molding the mixture into a desired shape. |
