摘要 A composite magnetic pickup head for a magnetic recording and replay system comprises a nucleus (1,2) of mainly ferro-magnetic oxide and a metallic magnetic material defining an operating gap, having multiple magnetic layers, each laminated upon the other and comprising a ferro-magnetic iron or iron alloy film (5,6) with a cubically body-centered structure and an Fe-Al-Si alloy film formed on top. A non-magnetic Al2O3 or SiO2 isolation layer stands between each two adjacent magnetic layers. The iron or iron alloy film in one of the magnetic layers lies on the oxide surface. This appts. includes two magnetic substrates from a ferro-magnetic oxide, each with a carefully polished surface free of any deformity, and a number of winding grooves in the surface of one of the substrates, laminated by a vacuum film creation process with a number of magnetic layers. USE/ADVANTAGE - For I/O systems in FDD, HDD, VTR and magnetic tape storage in computers. High coercivity, higher density in magnetic recording of signals.
