PURPOSE:To mold synthetic resin cover layer in uniform thickness at the joint of two pieces of member to be processed by a method wherein two pieces of member to be processed are fed into a protrusive molding crosshead in such a manner so that the top end of the following one is brought to contact with the rear end of the preceding one, and they are continuously covered with synthetic resin film. CONSTITUTION:To a feeding conveyor 1 composed of a pair of upper and lower conveyor belts 1a, 1b, pieces of member to be processed are continuously fed so that the rear end of preceding one A is brought to contact with the top end of following one B or a small gap is provided between them, and they are moved on a straight line and sent into a protrusive molding crosshead 3 and covered with synthetic resin film (a). Next, they are held between pick up conveyors 2 composed of a pair of upper and lower conveyor belts 2a, 2b and sent into a cooling tank 6 at the same speed and the synthetic resin film is cooled and solidified. By this method, beautifully processed pieces of material of which synthetic resin cover is uniform in thickness at their edges can be continuously and efficiently manufactured. |
