In a device for freezing pipelines through which media flow, in particular for water conduits of heating systems, a refrigeration package (refrigeration unit) which serves to manage the circuit of a vaporisable refrigerant by means of at least one contact element is accommodated in a portable housing (18) having ventilation openings (20). Said contact element can be mounted on the pipeline, and consists of at least two cooling jaws which are connected to the refrigeration package via flexible conduits (10, 11). In order for the flexible conduits (10, 11) with the connected contact elements not to impede the manipulation (handling) and the portability, the housing (18) has a housing lower part (17) surrounding the refrigeration package and a housing attachment (24) having at least one chamber (28, 29) for accommodating at least one flexible conduit (10, 11) with an attached contact element. It is preferred to arrange on an upper, horizontal bounding wall (25) of the housing lower part (17) a vertical middle wall (26) which extends in the direction of the longest axis of the housing lower part, and on both sides of which two chambers (28, 29) are formed for accommodating the flexible conduits (10, 11) with connected contact elements.
