CULTURE OF ADVENTITIOUS EMBRYO FROM JUVENILE EMBRYO OF COTYLEDON PLANT

PURPOSE:To accomplish mass culture of the uniform seedlings of cotyledon plant by making a culture of juvenile embryos taken out as external planting body, putting the resultant adventitious embryos to clone proliferation and by shaking culture of the resultant clone population in a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:Juvenile embryos 1 are first taken out as external planting body from seedling acorns and put to culture in an agar-agar medium to form adventitious embryos 2. Fragmented pieces 3 of the adventitious embryos are then put to culture in a liquid medium to effect clone proliferation. The resultant clone population 4 is then put to culture with a liquid shaking culture apparatus to effect induction of adventitious embryos 5, which are then transplanted from the flask to a seedling bed where a seedling raising is made to effect growth into the objective plant.
