PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous surface treatment method of steel wire capable of forming a phosphate film on steel wire in a short time and at a low cost.SOLUTION: A continuous surface treatment method of steel wire, where a surface of steel wire is continuously treated before cold-working, includes a film treating step P5 and a descaling step P3 followed by the film treating step P5. In the film treating step P5, a phosphate film is continuously formed on the steel wire. In the descaling step P3, slurry containing abrasive particles is blown to the surface of the steel wire to remove scale stuck to the surface of the steel wire and to form a surface layer having a maximum compressive residual stress of 100 MPa or more and 500 MPa or less in a range from the surface to the center of the steel wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
