<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate unnatural picture by controlling a frame difference control circuit so that a frame difference detection, signal generated when an edge part is not moved is eliminated and using the resulting signal as moving information for moving adaptive processing. CONSTITUTION:A frame difference detection circuit 2 detects a level difference between frames of at least a difference signal in one frame from a television signal. Moreover, the edge of a picture is detected by an edge detection circuit 11 and an edge correlation detection circuit 12 detecting frame correlation detects the movement of the edge between frames of the edge signal. When it is detected that the edge position is not moved as the result of detection, a frame difference control circuit 13 controls so as to eliminate the frame difference detection signal generated in the frame difference detection circuit 2 to use the result as the moving information of the movement adaptive processing. Thus, even when a level difference takes place to the object not moved, the edge part is subjected to still picture processing thereby eliminating the unnaturality of the picture.</p> |
