<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the degradation in copying quality and the trouble of a printer by providing a prescribed place which exists in a passage for paper and faces an imaging member with plural selectively biased baffle means and a means for removing dirt. CONSTITUTION: A copying sheet dust removing device 90 includes buffers 91, 92, 95, 96. A fusing device E, cleaner F, imaging station B, developing device C and electrostatic charging devices A and D along the paper transfer passage and all components housings of machines, such as baffles, are connected to a vacuum source. The baffles, housings and other devices are biased under control of a controller during the running mode of the machines in order to attract the dust. The dirt is collected by the vacuum generated by a propeller fan 97. As a result, the trouble of the constituting parts and the degradation in the copying quality are prevented.</p> |
