PURPOSE:To obtain the capability to become highly sensitive become extremely white, become highly humidity-proof and highly resistant to plasticizer by adding a specific compound to a material for thermosensitive recording based on the principle of allowing an electron-donative colorless coloring agent and an electron-receptive color developing material to melt and develop color. CONSTITUTION:Compounds expressed by formula Ar<->[(XO)PR], (wherein Ar represents an aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid; R is a residual group of phenols, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group or the residual group of monocarboxylic acid; X is a lower alquinone; p is an integer of 1 to 4; and r is an integer of 3 to 6) are added to a material for thermosensitive recording based on the principle of allowing an electron-donative colorless coloring agent and an electron-receptive color developing material to thermally melt for color development. The residual group is a group obtained by removing a carboxylic group and the -OH group of a phenol hydroxyl group from the constituent compound of the residual group. The use ratio of a color developer and a coloring agent is normally 5 to 10 pts.wt. for 100 pts.wt. The amount of a compound used is normally 1 to 200 pts.wt. for 100 pts.wt. of the color developer. |
