The radiator, has a number of spaced horizontal pipes (4) coupled to a pair of vertical pipes (2,3) at their opposite ends. The lowermost horizontal pipe (4) has a coiled heat exchanger (7) of a corrosion-resistant material connected at its opposite ends to the central heating water circulation loop. Pref. the heat exchanger (7) has an outer mantle which may enclose an electric heating rod, coupled to a thermostat control. ADVANTAGE - Allows use of conventional materials.
