The position multiplication circuit according to the subject of the invention is a multiplication circuit which has as its main parts four times circuits (1 to 4), and also an adder circuit (5) as an additional main part. Times circuit (1) supplies the 2 times number value. Times circuit (2) supplies the 3 times number value. Times circuit (3) supplies the 4 times number value. Times circuit (4) supplies the 5 times number value. The 6 times number value is formed using the direct circuit (8) and times circuit (4), i.e. 1 + 5. The 7 times number value is formed using times circuits (1 and 4), i.e. 2 + 5. The 8 times number value is formed using times circuits (2 and 4), i.e. 3 + 5. The 9 times number value is formed using times circuits (3 and 4), i.e. 4 and 5. Thus a maximum of two times circuits is required for a multiplication. These combinations have the advantage that only one dual half adder (9) is required in the area of the first tetrad. <IMAGE>
