PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder containing ferric pyrophosphate with which it is possible to obtain high iron absorbability, the powder being provided as a main ingredient of an oral iron formulation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a powder containing ferric pyrophosphate characterized in that (1) the ferric pyrophosphate content is 95 wt% or higher, and (2) the (Fe+Na)/P molar ratio is 0.8-1.0.SELECTED DRAWING: None
