Telecommunication distributor arrangement with elongated moulding - allows protection by single plug or separate plugs with spring fingers contacting common earth conductor

The elongated distributor moulding (1) is equipped with connection elements (3) for incoming and outgoing wires (4). There can be contacted by protective plugs (8) provided with overvoltage diverters (15). The diverters are contacted by earth conductors (19) joined to resilient fingers (20) which protrude from the plugs (8). A common earthing plate (10) in the distributor moulding (1) serves all plugs (8) and is accessible at its end to an earthed supporting part. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. in a telephone exchange. With min. modification of existing components, the distributor is formed so that when overvoltage divertors are replaced only one wire remains unprotected.
