An optical angle transducer consists of a light barrier whose light path is intermittently interrupted by peripheral optical encoding on a rotating disc. This generates optical pulses corresp. to the disc rotation angle. - The light barrier's light source and receiver contain a light emitting (6) and a light receiving (7) optical conductor respectively. The light receiving conductor has a larger fibre dia., and numerical aperture than the light emitting conductor.
