PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of inhibiting a steering column from being dropped by false operation even when a set value of a displacement load, which causes the steering column to move to a vehicle body front side, is lowered.SOLUTION: A steering device comprises: a cylindrical inner column; an outer column having slits formed by cutting one end at an inner column insertion side; an outer column bracket which fastens the outer column with telescopic friction plates; a rod supporting the telescopic friction plates; an inner column bracket which is supported by the telescopic friction plates and arranged facing the inner column exposed through the slit; and shear pins which detachably connect the inner column with the inner column bracket. The inner column bracket includes a shear part having shear strength lower than shear strength of the shear pin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
