PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble in sweeping heads having performed nozzle suction simultaneously one after another.SOLUTION: Nozzle faces 102 of heads 34a, 34b are capped with suction caps 21a, 21b, and a suction pump 27 is driven to perform nozzle suction in which liquid sucked and discharged into the suction caps 21a, 21b simultaneously from nozzles 34n of the two heads 34a, 34b. After one head 34a is wiped by a wipe member 23, a carriage 3 is moved to return the heads 34a, 34b to positions opposed to the suction caps 21a, 21b for predetermined operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
