A roll crushing mill for crushing brittle material has two horizontally mounted rollers (1,2) which are individually driven and are pressed towards each other. The mill is provided with several charging hoppers (3,3',3'',4',4'') which distribute the incoming material along the legnth of the gap (7) between the rollers (1,2). The charging hoppers (3,3',3'',4'',4'') are charged from a rotating hopper which is mounte dabove them and rotates about the central vertical axis (15). This system of distributing the incoming material along the length of the roller gap enables the mill to deal with incoming material with a wide variation in grain size. USE - Crushing of brittle material.
