A pharmaceutical compsn. contg. isoboride dinitride (I) for oral admin. for acute and long-term treatment of angina pectoris, characterised in that a core consisting of (I) and a surrounding signal layer of a physiologically acceptable carrier material, is coated with (I)-contg. layer, alone or in combination with suitable inerting agents in a polymer soln. or other additives for fixing the active agent. Pref. the core comprises 20-120mg (I). The signal layer comprises an acid (esp citric acid) and a binder. The polymer soln. comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose and/or polyethylene glycol. ADVANTAGE - The object of the invention is to provide a dosage form for (I) that prevents or stops an angina attack and also maintains long-lasting plamsa levels of (I).
