The residual ejection pin detection monitor verifies its presence in an apertured plate at the ejection station for the stamped out material by detecting a signal provided by a transmitter (5) within each pin (1). The signal is lost or altered upon loosening of the pin from the apertured plate to activate an automatic cut-out control for the stamping machine. The transmitter may be supplied via associated supply lines from the network supply, or by a battery and/or a photocell (6). ADVANTAGE - Prevents damage to machine.
