PURPOSE:To attain charging by distance by allowing an exchange to recognize a relay stage number. CONSTITUTION:A relay stage number from a master station 400 is sent to an exchange 501 as a signal from a slave station 201 by hook-off of a subscriber 101 and when the subscriber 101 makes dialing, a start signal is sent from an exchange 501 to an exchange 502 and after the exchange 501 confirms a start end signal, an incoming call subscriber selection signal is sent to the exchange 502, the exchange 502 sends a call signal to an incoming call destination subscriber 109 to return a call tone to the subscriber 101. Charging is started at the exchange 501 by the reply of the subscriber 109. In this case, the exchange 501 indexes the charging table with a relay stage number transmission signal received previously to obtain a relevant charge index and to apply charging according thereto. |
