<p>PURPOSE:To highly set up a magnetic tape traveling accuracy and to highly speed up the device by forming a magnetic tape traveling path with one pair of guide rollers for drawing out the magnetic tape from a cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 1 is loaded into a device main body A, a tape loading mechanism C is operated, and one pair of guide rollers 31 and 32 are moved from their unloading positions to loading positions to draw out the magnetic tape 2 from the cassette 1. The drawn magnetic tape 2 is regulated in its traveling path by the pair of guide rollers 31 and 32 and brought into contact with a magnetic head 74 fixed en route, and hence a data is recorded and reproduced on the magnetic tape 2 through the magnetic head 74 in sliding contact with the tape. When the operation is over, the tape loading mechanism C is reversely operated, and the pair of guide rollers 31 and 32 are returned from the loading positions to the unloading positions, and at the same time, the magnetic tape 2 drawn by reel driving force is housed in the cassette. By this method, the high speed traveling of the magnetic tape 2 can be performed with high accuracy without depending on the cassette side.</p> |
