<p>PURPOSE:To back up a storage medium at occurrence of a fault by recording the information inputted to a commercial transaction device to the storage medium when a fault occurs at a circuit set between a commercial transaction information totalizing device and the commercial transaction device. CONSTITUTION:The abnormality detection means 6-1 and 6-2 of the commercial transaction devices 1-1 and 1-2 detect the occurrence of a fault at a circuit 5 set between a commercial transaction device 1-1 which inputs the information on the commercial transaction and a storage means 3 which stores the information on totalization of the information on at least the commercial transaction. Then the commercial transaction information inputted to the transactions 1-1 and 1-2 are recorded to the prescribed media via the recording means 4-1 and 4-2 respectively. Then a reading means 7 reads those commercial transaction information out of the prescribed media, and the means 3 is updated based on the reading result of the means 7. As a result, the information are recorded by the means 4-1 and 4-2 and then read by the means 7 for totalization even though the information inputted to the devices 1-1 and 1-2 cannot be stored any more. Thus the means 3 can be backed up.</p> |
