Passenger vehicle radial tyre with a carcass comprising at least one ply of radially disposed organic fibre cord in which, when the tyre is fitted on a standard rim, the ratio (RT2/TR1) of the tread surface' radius of curvature (RT2) under standard pressure and its radius of curvature (RT1) under 10% of standard pressure is 1.0-1.40 and the ratio (RC2/RC1) of the carcass shoulder portion's radius of curvature (RC2) unser standard pressure and its radius of curvature (RC1) under 10% of standard pressure is 0.65-8.5. Passenger vehicle radial tyre mfg. method in which a tyre is vulcanised and moulded in a vulcanisation mould in which the max. carcass width profile is larger than the max. carcass width determined by natural equilibrium shape theory and the height in the radial direction from the bead bottom to the point of max. carcass width is made smaller than the corresponding height determined by natural equilibrium theory.
