Baking and confectionery material is processed in a machine having a vertical column of rectangular cross-section, and in which a pan-holder is driven by an electric motor in the vertical direction, part of the holder being outside the column. An interchangeable utensil with controlled drive mechanism engages in the pan from the top, processing the material. The column supporting members consist of four tubes at its vertical edges. These are enclosed in pairs by sidewalls secured to them and forming a U-shape, the walls being secured to each other by top and bottom connecting members. ADVANTAGE - Greatly simplifies production, assembly and repair work.
