<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an image of a buried body with high accuracy by expanding the beam direction characteristics of an antenna equivalently by varying the angle of radio wave radiation into the ground by an antenna rotating mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A driving mechanism 10 rotates the antenna 3 which is coupled with support rods 102a and 102b around a center shaft 103 by a driving device 101 to vary the radiation direction of a radio wave. The rotating speed is larger than the linear scanning speed of the mechanism 10 and the radio wave beam is varied in direction at the same place to obtain a reflected wave, thereby obtaining the same effect is spread equivalently. Further, the antenna 3 rotates up to a previously set angle and an adding device 7 adds the waveform of a reflected signal obtained in one reciprocal rotation. At this time, the movement quantity of the antenna 3 in a straight direction is small and an observation is made at the same position while the radiation and detection directions of the radio wave are varied, so the reflected wave which is added 7 has the same effect with a survey using a wide beam and the width where the reflected wave is obtained is increased to realize effective opening composition processing.</p> |
