Provided is a saildrive apparatus capable of having maintenance work easily performed thereon even at sea. The saildrive apparatus is provided with: an upper unit connected with an engine and positioned within a ship; and a lower unit extended out from the upper unit downward through an opening provided on the bottom of the ship. The upper unit is provided with a drive unit enclosing a power transmission mechanism for transmitting power from the engine to the lower unit, and the saildrive apparatus is integrally installed with the engine. In this state, the drive unit is configured to be detachable from the upper unit. |
