A coupling device, Figs. 1, 4 and 10, between a bicycle carrier rack 1 and apparatus 2 and 3 transported thereon, comprising two part-units, a part-unit which constitutes part-functions fixedly disposed on the carrier rack and a second part-unit which is fixed to those apparatus which during transport, together with the bicycle carrier rack, form the joint coupling unit. Due to economic and environmental reasons, the bicycle has increasingly come to be seen as a better alternative than the car for close-range travel and transport of lighter goods for commercial and leisure activities. Inter alia, causes such as limited parking facilities in large markets and leisure areas have forced people to use the bicycle as a considerably more flexible means of transport than the car. Within the scope of the present invention, a host of different apparatus which facilitate transport by bicycle can therefore enter into consideration, for example, as described in the patent document, a transport basket, inter alia adapted to oil and beer and soft-drink crates, or a golf cart, which are placed on and secured to the bicycle carrier rack in a simple manner using the coupling device. <IMAGE> |
