The invention presents a manual device for stretching string; it is made for adjusting tennis rackets, but can be used in other areas as well. The device, according to the invention, consists of a central piece, with two adjusting handles; it is provided with flanges, which press on elastic rubber rings by tightening on top of these, by means of nut screws, some parts identical with the flanges. By pressing, the elastic rubber rings change shape and come in contact with an outer cylinder which holds the tennis racket string that needs to be stretched.
