Two transparent sheets (1a, 1b) a few millimetres apart are sealed along their sides and base and partly along the top. The space between them is filled with electrically conductive liq. (2) preventing build-up of electrostatic charge, which is conducted away by a wire (4) to earth (5). The sheets (1a, 1b) are interconnected at several points (3) to prevent forcible sepn. by pressure of the liq. The filter may stand in a frame (6) or be bolted (7) directly to the picture tube. ADVANTAGE - Easily mfd. filter with practically unlimited lifetime does not interfere with viewing in any way.
