A sauna stove which comprises an outer mantle 1 and an inner mantle 2, which forms a mainly closed combustion chamber 3 with a grating 4, a stoking door 5, a side duct 6 and a duct connection piece 7 as well as a stone compartment 8 which is largely open at the top. The stone compartment is fitted with electrical resistors 9. The connection ends of the electrical resistors, electrical conductors 11,13 and the rear section of a regulating device 12 are provided in an air duct 10. The air duct has been connected to a duct 7 and the other end 10 of the duct draws in cold air from floor level. The electrical resistors 9 and the air duct 10 have been fixed to a mounting plate 14 situated in the air gap between the outer mantle 1 and the inner mantle 2. The mounting plate 14 has by means of support bars 15 been fixed at a distance from the surface of the inner mantle plate 2. The above-described sauna stove design makes it possible to arrange the electrical equipment in the sauna stove so that the temperature of this does not exceed the permissible values. <IMAGE>
