PURPOSE:To compactly contain an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver in a guide means, and also, to obtain an exact tomography image of a tissue in the body by providing additionally a shape memory member on the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver having flexibility installed to the tip of a guide member. CONSTITUTION:When an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 1 provided continuously with a guide shaft 8 in a treating implement insert-through channel 11 in an inserting part 10 is inserted into the body, the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 1 is set to a state wound round to the guide shaft 8. As a result, even if the ultrasonic transmitter/ receiver 1 is made long in size in order to take large the scanning width, it can be contained compactly. In such a state, in a state that the guide shaft 8 is pushed into the channel 11, the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 1 is fed into a position protruded from the leading-out part of the treating implement of the treating implement insert- through channel 11. As a result, a shape memory alloy 7 provided additionally on the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 1 rises to a temperature in the body, is deformed to a flat state being its memory shape, and the transmitting/receiving surface of an ultrasonic wave in the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver 1 becomes a plane state. In such a state, when switches of the upper electrodes 3 are turned on successively, and a linear electronic scan is executed, an ultrasonic tomography image in the body is obtained. |
